Shop around Sorrento or take a day trip to Capri, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello. Accessible by ferry or by car and between 30-45 minutes from Sorrento.
For history buffs, arrange a guided tour of Pompeii, the ancient city preserved by volcanic ash. Or walk over to the Museo Correale di Terranova.
Sorrento has a charming old port called Marina Grande, enjoy an evening gelato by the fishing boats.
